This is what Paul Lukas from Uni-Watch wrote about the big party at The Bowery Electric in NYC the afternoon on May 26th.

The great hockey-rock band the Zambonis routinely wears hockey jerseys onstage. But when they play at the upcoming Uni Watch 25th-anniversary party in NYC on May 26, they’ll be wearing something very special — a full set of Uni Watch hockey jerseys, complete with our anniversary logo on the chest! Three members of the band will wear the white design, and two will wear the green. This is gonna be so great! Tickets for the event are available below. Hope to see lots of you there!

Back to 2005 in Milwaukee at The Rave / Eagles Ballroom @theraveusa with @guster and @mastodonrocks also on the marquee. This show was amazing as is this club. Olympic size pool in the basement, Rome like design in the venue. We were all full of butter burgers and it was one for the books. As always on that tour Guster joined us on our song written for those fellas titled “Guster Plays Hockey”. On this night someone captured it and up on the u tube you can witness @joepisapia ripping it up with our man @stephantanski #mastodon #guster #thezambonis

It's pretty amazing that for the past 14 years Zambonis drummer Rich Dart has played/plays with one of our favorite bands ever. That would be The legendary Micky Dolenz/The Monkees. Once in a while when Rich has to "Monkee" around, we need to find someone to sit in. Enter Mike Czekaj. Mike is a CT and beyond legend. He can play jazz or basically be Animal from The Muppets. He also sings/screams with the best of em. The minute we knew we had Mike filling in for a gig in NYC a few months ago, we added the very rare non hockey cover "The Witch" by 60's Tacoma, WA garage rockers The Sonics. We did one rehearsal for the gig and we asked our pal Chris if he would put up a few cameras, he showed up in about an hour. Mike played with the OG Connecticut rock n roll band The Survivors with long time Zamboni Tom Andrukevich (bass/guru) They played with The Ramones a few times and also had the blessings from Bob Stinson from The Replacements. He raved about them back in the day. Mike went on to be the drummer for The Fuzztones for many years and now is in a hot Brooklyn band with his brother The Live Ones.
