We had some pretty tricky monkey mascotting going

We had some pretty tricky monkey mascotting going on the other night at the BIG show with Guster at @ridgefieldplayhouse . The show started with our man Matt whom has been the official @the_hockeymonkey for over 20 years. He is one of the best primates/humans out there. Then we switched and put OG Zambonis co-founder @tqkatis ie Tarquin in the suit and he sang as the Monkey the hockey hardcore classic “Lost My Teeth”. When the song ended he proceeded to chase the amazing @helen.katis ie his daughter in the banana suit off the stage and up the aisle of the theater. Around 2000 Dave decided to write a song about his friends band @guster titled “Guster Plays Hockey”. Somehow it ended up on their dvd “Guster On Ice” which was released in 2004. 1 year later Zambonis went on tour with Guster for two weeks through the Midwest. We played “Guster Plays Hockey” most nights, @joepisapia would graciously join us and we would extend the ending with our guitar slinger @stephantanski and Joe just killing it. There is a clip of this from Milwaukee on the YouTuber. Well, we have not played this song in 18 years but it returns Friday night as we convene with our favorite band that rhymes with Buster.
